History

Trinity Klein Lutheran Church has a long history of helping families in the community.  Our food pantry has been assisting families in the Spring/Klein area for over 15 years.  In 2017, we assisted on average 100 people per month with food and 10 families per month with financial assistance.  In August 2017, Hurricane Harvey hit our community.   The results were devastating for many across the greater Houston area.  Our Spring community had an extensive amount of flooding impacting thousands of families in our midst.  In the first month after the hurricane, Trinity Klein stepped up in big way to provide food, toiletries and cleaning supplies for 7,056 of our hurting neighbors.   Since the hurricane, the needs have decreased, but our eyes and hearts were opened to the many needs of struggling families in our area.  We are still assisting about 2000 people per month with food and toiletries, and 15 families per month with rent, mortgage and utility assistance.  God has used this hurricane to teach us the great love, compassion, grace and mercy He has for all people.

Through the heartache and blessings of Hurricane Harvey, we have felt God’s nudge to start Restoring Hope.  Restoring Hope is a partnership between multiple ministries that assist the poor and hurting in our community.  We desire to partner with our community to help strengthen our community.  We want to share the HOPE we have in Jesus Christ with the families in our community.

Romans 15:13  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
